Job Title : Unix (AIX/Solaris/HP-UX/Linux) Admin Reqs with CSC Noida/Hyd/Chennai
Experience : 5 – 10 Years
Job Description : Administering Data center with 24* 7 support for 900+ Unix Boxes with HACMP Clusters in US.
Installation, Configuration, Performance monitoring in production servers. (i.e. RS/6000 and pSeries server).
Performed all standard system administration on Unix machines (users, groups, backup etc).
Installing and Configuring third party software in server to confirm with company security Policy.
Collecting data and implementing Operating system upgrades (Unix) to the latest available maintenance levels, latest microcodes, installing APAR’s.
Administering of External storage of ESS.
Create LVM structures based on requirement provided by application owner.
Performed storage migration between IBM ESS to SVC storage on Cluster server.
Backing up & Restoring File System on a Regular Schedule through IBM TSM.
Scheduling jobs through crontabs.
Working and troubleshooting on day-to-day problems via opening and closing tickets.
Participating in change record meeting and approving changes.
Working on new server builds for new projects including Unix servers and coordinating with different groups to achieve target date.
